Bernice Booth (nee Fandrick), a caring wife, mother, and grandmother, left this world in peace on April 23, 2022 at age 95 after several days of heart complications.She was born to George and Amanda Fandrick (nee Huplits) in Philadelphia on March 15, 1927. She and her late sister, Violet Wetzel (nee Fandrick), were raised in the Olney neighborhood and graduated from Olney High School. Bernice would later be a long-term resident of the Mayfair neighborhood with her beloved husband and father of her children, James F. Booth (deceased). In her final months of life, Bernice was a resident of Philadelphia Protestant Home.Bernice was a loving mother to Dennis J. Booth (deceased), Janice T. Petner (nee Booth) (Mark), Glenn S. Booth, and Stephen F. Booth (Ida). She was affectionately called MeMe by her grandchildren George S. Petner (Keli OConnor), Carole A. Petner (Michael Melnyk), and Michael S. Booth. As a fastidious homemaker, love for her family was always foremost in Bernices life.Bernice was a devoted parishioner of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Mayfair. A passionate member of her parishs choir and Bible study, Bernice was eager to share parables and sing hymns for others. Outside of her thriving life in Faith, Bernice enjoyed spending summer days at the beach and had an enthusiasm for desserts. She was a very personable woman who loved her family and friends and lived her life with religious fulfillment in the Lord.Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at St. Johns Lutheran Church at 3101 Tyson Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19149 on Saturday, April 30, 2022. A gathering will be held at 10:00 AM and funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest on the grounds of the parish immediately following services.
