Christopher Brierley, of North Wildwood, NJ, at the age of 55, died on January 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous, long-fought battle with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.
Chris was born on March 26,1965 in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The Brierley family moved to Juniata Park in 1974. He followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a Teamster, which he took great pride in. Over the past 20 years, Chris was a bartender at The Inlet North Wildwood (Formally Westy's Irish Pub).
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jane and Walter Brierley. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: William Brierley (Jeannette), Jo-Mary Barr (the late Cameron), Rita Sigmund (John), Walter Brierley (Sharon), and Mattew Brierley (Jeanine). He will be sadlymissed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, along with Lisa "Princess" Querubin.
His quick witted humor will be greatlymissed by his life-long friends, extended North Wildwood family, and all of those who had the privilegeof sitting at his bar.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 11:45 AM in Holy Innocents Church, located at L Street & Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124. Chris' funeral mass will begin at 12 noon and his interment will be held privately this summer.
