Claire Campbell

Claire Campbell (nee Chicco), 84 years of age of Philadelphia PA gained her angel wings on March 9th, 2025 surrounded by her family. Claire was born on November 4th 1940 to Clara Holden (nee Adamson-Chicco) and Michael Chicco. Claire was born and raised in Frankford and graduated from Frankford high school.

Claire was the loving wife of the late Gerald Campbell. She was the beloved mother of Richard Campbell (Kathleen), the late Michele Consalvo (Ronald), Joanne Barretta (Mark), and Leigh Picariello (David). She was the loving Grandmom/Granny to Nicole Consalvo, Richard Campbell (Amy), Danielle Smith (Dan), Alison Massetti (Marc), Matthew Campbell (Maranda), Jessica Lennox (Nicholas), Makayla Picariello (Nicholas Pellechia), Christopher Campbell (Taylor), Elizabeth Barretta (Marcus Vargas), Em Barretta, Mary Barretta, and David Picariello. Claire was the loving Great Grandmother known as Granny to Michael, Shane, Carson, Richard, Levi, Reese, Archie, Arlo, Leo, Logan, and the late Primrose and Lola.

Claire spent many summers in Ocean City, New Jersey until she eventually moved there. Her passion was her family. Claire enjoyed spending time with her grandkids at the beach. Her hobbies included crocheting, scrapbooking, and crafting. As she got older her evenings were spent watching the Hallmark Channel. Claire and her late husband Gerald devoted their lives to raising their children and helping to raise their grandchildren. Anyone who was a part of Claire’s life was treated as family. Even up to her death, Claire remained her grandchildren’s’ biggest cheerleader, supporter, and most of all friend.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral on Friday, March 14th from 9:30AM to 11AM at McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations, 2614 Orthodox Street Philadelphia PA 19137. Her funeral service will began 11AM. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 550 Delsea Drive Sewell NJ 08080.
