Edward F. Lockhead, age 87 of Villas, New Jersey, passed away on July 11th, 2020. Born and raised in Philadelphia and a resident of Cape May County, New Jersey for 22 year, he was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Nancy. He is survived by daughter, Theresa (Thomas) Rola, daughter Nancy (Phillip) Ayres, son Edward Lockhead,(Alice Pardalis), son James (Susan) Lockhead, daughter Sandra Lockhead and son Jude (Lorianne) Lockhead. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great children and 1 great, great grandchild. Edward was a veteran of the U.S Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed by and retired from SKF Ball Bearing Company located at Front Street and Erie Avenues. Ed was a longtime member of Kensington Ramblers Athletic Association acting a coach, counselor and mentor to many of the neighborhood young people.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday July 17, 2020 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Phila. His funeral mass will begin 11 AM and his burial will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edward's name to the American Diabetes Association @ Diabetes.org.
