Gordon Dunlop, Sr. age 85 passed away on April 16, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Dunlop (nee Herriott ). Loving dad of Gordon Jr. (Toni), Linda (Tim), and John (Melissa). He is the grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 9. Dear brother of Alec Dunlop (Jean), Jean Porteous (late Jack) , and also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. After arriving in the U. S. A. from Glasgow Scotland at the age of 14, Gordon enrolled in school and went right to work to support his family. He was a dedicated hard worker throughout his life and was deeply involved in his community and neighborhood. He was one of the Founding Fathers of Parkwood Youth Organization, a Founding Member of the Franklin Mills Advisory Council, and a community activist, who worked alongside and was deeply respected by numerous local elected government officials. He was extremely dedicated to improving athletics for local boys and girls and received the proud honor of being a 1998 inductee into the Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of fame. He was a dedicated husband, loving dad, and proud grandfather and great grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Due to the current pandemic, Gordon's family will be celebrating his life in the near future with a memorial service to honor Gordon's wonderful, dedicated life.
