Irma Cyrankowski

Irma Cyrankowski, nee Sylvester, 86, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Irma is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Cyrankowski, her parents, Roy and Pauline Sylvester, and her brother John Wesley Sylvester. She is survived by her sister, Jeanette Seedes, and her eight children, Debbie DeLeo and her husband Bill, Edward Cyrankowski, Linda Seiberlich and her husband Russell, Patricia Markuszka and her husband Thomas, Bruce Cyrankowski, Laura Cyrankowski, Paula Wiley, and Jennifer Cyrankowski, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a gifted piano player, being able to play any song by ear. She enjoyed going to the casinos and walking along the boardwalk. She retired from Sears Roebuck. She enjoyed going to the Athenian Restaurant, where she and her late husband were regulars and had many friends they enjoyed talking with. She was easy going and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She enjoyed the holidays and decorating for each one. She enjoyed taking trips into town for the holiday parades and light displays during Christmas. She loved spending time with her family and passing along family traditions. She loved taking pictures and could provide her beautiful smile as the subject of any picture. She was a whiz at Wheel of Fortune, loved her soap operas and old movies, and could always be counted on to provide the answer to that impossible crossword clue. She loved animals and had a huge heart, which she passed along to her children. She enjoyed new adventures on Sunday drives with her family. She was a huge Phillies fan and enjoyed watching them play. She was loved deeply by her family and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, December 3, 2021, 10-11 at St. Bartholomew's Church, 5600 Jackson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19124. Funeral Mass will begin at 11am.
