James Lennox

On Wed April 21st, 2021, James Lennox of Philadelphia, PA and North Wildwood, NJ passed away suddenly at the age of 58. Jimmy is the son of the late James and Mary Anne Lennox. Jimmy is survived by his three children, Taylor (Chris), Ashley and Jake, two sisters Marianne (Jim) Leemon and Nancy Lennox, nephews Jimmy and Billy Leemon, his former wife Renee Lennox, an entire team of cousins and granddogs George and Tucker. His many friends will also miss him and his charming personality, funny stories, silly antics, and mostly his infectious smile. The outpouring of love and support after the shocking and devastating news shows how much Jimmy touched the lives of so many. Jimmy was his parent's favorite son and the brother his sisters looked up to. Jimmy loved being a father to his three children. They were his world and he will continue to love them from heaven. Jimmy was a dedicated employee of PGW for 30+ years. He worked his way from a meter reader to serving as the Treasurer of The Gas Workers Local 686 Union, which he took extreme pride in. He continued on as a consultant following his retirement in December 2019. When not on the golf course or spending time with family, Jimmy was known for his outstanding bartending skills. Jimmy served at multiple bars around Philadelphia and the Wildwoods. Friends came for the drinks and stayed to reminisce and socialize. Jimmy made many establishments successful, by making everyone feel welcomed. His personality was contagious. The loss of Jimmy has left an enormous hole in everyone's heart. Relatives, friends, fellow members of Gas Workers Local 686, fellow members of Elks Lodge 1896 NWNJ, fellow members of Stone Harbor Golf Club, Commonwealth National Golf Club, fellow coworkers and friends from Keenan's NW, and Firehouse WW are invited to celebrate Jimmy's life and attend his viewing on Thursday evening April 29th from 5 PM to 7 PM and Friday morning April 30th from 9 AM to 10:45 AM in Our Lady of Calvary Church 11024 Knights Road.
