Jim Walsh unexpectedly passed away peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 31, 2016 due to heart complications.

Jim was born on April 13, 1989 in Sarasota, FL. He spent the majority of his life in Philadelphia, PA surrounded by his loving family. Jim had the heart of a lion, and anyone who crossed his path in life would attest to that. He was an outstanding student that continuously excelled in all of his advanced courses. Growing up, Jim was an All-Star athlete in basketball, football and baseball. He had a passion for culinary arts, and established a career as a chef for a local restaurant in Sarasota.

Jim is survived by his son, Christian, his mother, Dorothy Walsh, stepfather, Gary Cattie, and his brothers, Andrew DelVillano and Brendan Cattie. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and his niece. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Saturday January 21st from 1-3 PM at the McCafferty-Sweeney Funeral Home 6126 Torresdale Avenue. Words of remembrance will be read at 2:30 PM.
