Joan Chase

Joan A. Chase (nee Lynn) passed peacefully on October 3, 2024.  Beloved mother of Kimberly Rehl (Richard), Edwin Jr (Kelly), Patrick Sr., Michael Sr. (Megan), and Timothy Sr. (Melissa). Adored mom-mom to David Rehl Jr. (Brianna), Joseph Rehl, Kristine (Ryan), Patrick Jr. (Carol), Tyler, Morgan, Isabella, Michael Jr., Timothy Jr, Collin and Aiden. Great Mom-mom to David Rehl III, Raelynn and Bryson. She was preceded in death by her mother Catherine Lynn (nee Smith) and father Andrew Lynn. She is now reunited in heaven with her family and her pup “Bub” whom she missed dearly.

Joan was born on April 15,1948 and raised in Flourtown, PA. Joan absolutely cherished her cat Little Girl and spent days watching re-runs of Law-and-Order SVU while Little Girl cuddled up purring on her lap. She loved trips to the beach, Elvis Presley, Barry Manilow, animals and most of all, Christmas. Her favorite time of year was the holidays. She was always so excited to see the houses decorated, Christmas music playing, and spending that time with her family.

Joan cherished time with her children and grandchildren, she absolutely loved them with all her heart. Once a month they all gathered to play bingo. When they gathered it was impossible to make it through without laughing, most of the time it was something she had done or said. There was never a time where she couldn’t bring an entire room to belly laughs. If you had the privilege of knowing Joan, you know how special she truly was. She was witty, genuine, loving but most of all so caring. Joan will be deeply missed and forever honored. This is not a good-bye, but a see you later.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 9:30 am at Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home located at 2614 Orthodox St, Philadelphia, PA 19137. Service will begin 10:30 am. Interment will be held privately.
