Kenneth W. Cooper, 78, of Philadelphia passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. Born on July 21, 1946, he was a son of the late Phillip and Marjorie (Lindsay) Cooper.
Kenny was a proud member of the Local 542 Operating Engineers where he operated various equipment and also worked as a roofing contractor for over 30 years.
Kenny was a big fan of stock car racing and always enjoyed catching up and sharing good old stories with family and friends. He could strike up a conversation with anyone about anything. Kenny was a fun guy who made a lasting impression on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Phillip, Jimmy, Ray and Bobby; and sister Marjorie (Sissy).
He is survived by his four children: Michael Cooper, Karen Shreve and her husband, Scott, Kenny Cooper and his wife, Francine, and Francie Cooper and her wife, Devan Johnson; three step-children: Andrew, Michael and Mary Beth Senlick; five grandchildren: Jessica, Cooper, Jackson, Kayla and Max; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later time at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements have been placed in the care of McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funeral Home in Philadelphia.
