Linda Graeff

Linda Graeff (née Dence), age 77 of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 24, 2024. 

Linda grew up in Pennypack Woods, where she happily remained all 77 years. She was the daughter of Ed and Bert Dence and lived alongside her six siblings before meeting Tom at 18 and spending 58 years married. Together, they had Tom (Linda), Amy (Kevin), Christian (Kim), and Melanie (Patrick). 

Despite her remarkable depth, her greatest pleasures were simple: a childhood spent building forts with her sisters, baking, the quiet escape of a good book. But most important to Linda was her family, proven by her excitement to take all 30 of them on an annual trip, because her only real wish was to spend time together.

She was–unanimously and by every definition–selfless, and somehow knew how to balance the needs of everyone around her to create such valuable memories that will last forever. Words alone can never convey how deeply her quick wit and constant chatter will be missed by her husband and children, her grandchildren Matthew (Ashley), Seth, Jacob, Nathan (Marissa), Abigail (Coty), Ethan, Owen, Cole, Wade, Salvatore, and Louis, her great-grandchildren Carson, Wren, Addison, and Georgia, and anyone lucky enough to know her.

Linda's family will be celebrating her life privately and there will be no public ceremony.
