Richard Atwell, sr.

Richard Atwell, Sr. passed away suddenly on June 26, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen (Simon).
Father of Rick (Jeannine), Kevin (Teresa) and Tim (Maureen). Grandfather of Shannon, Sheena, Matthew, Lauren, Nick and Jessica.
He is survived by one brother Phillip (Carlene) and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.
Leona, Fran, Dee, Don, Robert, William, Larry and Marie.
He served in the US Army from 1957-59.
He worked for the Reading and Conrail Railroad for 41 years doing various jobs.
He also taught Driving at night for Keystone AAA.
He met his beloved wife of 62 years while he was working at a record shop on Germantown Avenue.
He had a love for music and movies and always knew what the song on the flip side of a 45 was and who the actors and actresses were in the movies and what roles they played.
He was very proud of his three sons and their wives.
He especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren and spending time with them.
He was always grateful to be surrounded by a loving and caring family.
As Dad would always say: WELL ANYHOW. He will be truly missed.
