Santina(sue) Jones
Santina (Sue) Jones, aged 76, of Philadelphia passed away on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015 peacefully at home amongst her loved ones after battling cancer for almost 5 years. Sue was born October 3, 1938, in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Antonio and Emma Costa.
In 1966, Sue married Ira Stanley Jones. They lived in Philadelphia where she raised three wonderful children. Sue worked for many years as a beautician and more recently at Dunkin Donuts where she enjoyed spending time with her co-workers. Sue especially enjoyed spending time with her family and listening to Elvis.
Sue was preceded in death by her three siblings, Joseph Costa, Victoria Negro, and Josephine Costa. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ira Stanley Jones, three children, Robert S. (Anneliese) Jones, Stephen J. (Linda) Jones, and Sharon S. Jones. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kayla Jones, Jessica Jones, Mackenzie Jones, Jenna Jones, Donald Revill and many nieces and nephews.
Friday, September 11, 2015, the family will greet friends from 10:30 - 11:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Road in Philadelphia, PA. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sue's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
