William Oglesby, jr.

William Douglas Oglesby, Jr. of Oxford Circle passed away December 26, 2017. Born August 30, 1938 in Atlantic City, NJ. Bill was a proud patriot who served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1963 on the USS Okinawa (LPH3). He was a kind, generous and hard-working man as a troubleshooter for the Philadelphia Postal Service for many years. Bill was a quiet man who enjoyed a simple life in Philadelphia. He was the former husband of Elaine McNally, and father of 2 children: Christopher William Oglesby, and MaryBeth Welsh, and proud grandfather of 6: Connor, Quinn, Jonathan, Kayla, Janie, and Gabie. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. His contributions to his country will be honored at a memorial service for friends and family on Saturday, July 7th, 2018, 6:00PM at Gardner's Basin, Atlantic City, NJ.
