William Stackhouse

William J. Stackhouse, born on June 1, 1942, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 25, 2024. Loving husband of Irene R. Stackhouse (nee Wajda).  William is predeceased by his mother Sophia Grolsko (nee Gwardyak), his step father Steve Grolsko and his father, William Stackhouse.  Dear father of William J. Stackhouse (Jacqueline) and Timothy R. Stackhouse, and brother of Sonia Blumstein. 

Proud and loving grandfather “Pop-Pop” of Katelynn I. Stackhouse and Ryan N. Killion. Dear uncle of Amanda R. Blumstein.

William was born and raised in Philadelphia and was a longtime member of Saint Bartholomew Church in Wissinoming. William served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. William enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams. William also held a special place in his heart for dogs.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday August 30th from 10 AM to 11 AM at Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home 2614 Orthodox Street, Philadelphia, PA 19137.  Service will begin 11 AM and interment will be held privately at a later date
